Tour Details

This scheduled Day Tour to Kiambethu Tea Farm for Tea Enthusiasts offers unique Tea educational Tourism Experience including History and farm process of making Tea. You have a chance to walk in the indigenous Forest with a resident guide who identifies plants, also see Colobus monkeys close up and wander in the gardens which are home to wide variety of birds and flowers. Farm visit are scheduled from 1100Hrs-1300Hrs from Thursday to Sunday in the week. Hot Lunch inclusive of the Trip. 

At 0900Hrs, after Morning Breakfast from your chosen Nairobi Hotel, meet your  Professional Safari driver guide, then have a short briefing before heading to Kiambethu Tea Farm arriving here at 1100Hrs. Upon arrival, you will be received, then have a cup of tea or coffee thereafter, you will be briefed on the history of the farm and explanation of Tea making  process, followed by an opportunity to see tea in the field. You will proceed on a 1.5 Hours walk in the indigenous forest with our resident Kenyan guide who will identify the plants and explain how they are traditionally used. Look out for the Colobus monkeys close up and wander in the gardens which are home to a wide variety of birds and flowers. Return to the house to enjoy a pre-lunch drink on the verandah with sweeping views across the tea fields to the Ngong Hills. Hot Lunch is served about 1300Hrs, and is a three course buffet lunch from our set menu prepared with vegetables from the garden and desserts are topped with cream from our herd of Channel Island cows. After the visit and Lunch at 1500Hrs, drive back to your Nairobi Hotel for your overnight stay.
